Al Gore and the IPCC win Nobel Peace Prize
The Nobel committee in Oslo has anounced that Al Gore and the International Panel on Climate Change has won this year’s Nobel Peace Prize.
Al Gore will donate his part of the money (1,1 milion Euro) to his Climate Alliance; Rajendra Pachauri, head of IPCC, said he hoped for greater recognition of the catastrophic situation of our planet.
Pachauri was very happy with the good news, he said from his office in New Delhi.
Ban Ki Moon, Secretary General of the U.N., also was very glad with the Nobel Committee’s decision.
The Green Challenge congratulates them wholeheartedly.
